Don really was a good guy. I was one of the people who was privledged to ride motorcycles with him. He was the only person who changed air in his tires on his Yahama.

I remember all the good Don did for me without even thinking about it. The world would be a better place if Don had stayed here longer.

I knew Don from our days back at Meadowlane Elementary School and Palm Springs Junior High.  A big, happy-go-lucky, nice guy.  He was killed in a motorcycle accident on Aug. 12, 1964, about two weeks before the start of our senior year at Hialeah High.

Don used to sit behind me in TV civics class. When I had him sign my senior book he wasn't able to finish writing because the bell rang and we had to leave. Then the summer came and he got killed on his motorcycle and couldn't finish the note he was writing to me. I'll always treasure that unfinished note!
