I was taken back by this news. Not more than a few months ago, we were in touch about a possible future lunch get together. I live north of Orlando, he remained in the South Florida area. Grew up in same neighborhood, West 10th Avenue and 55th Place, Hialeah. He lived around the corner, I knew him well. We were both US COAST GUARD veterans. Sad news. May my friend Don Boyd, RIP.

My brother Gene also passed away from Pancreatic cancer on Sept 5th of this year.  It is a terrible thing for anyone to have to go thru.  My sister and I and his son were with him constantly for the last two weeks of his life.  I am so sorry that Don had to go thru this same illness.  He was a cheerful and friendly guy who I got to know a little bit at the reunions the last couple of years.  I wish to extend my condolences to his family.

Sincerely, Tom Fitzpatrick
