I remember John more from Immaculate Conception School in the late 1950's and only occasionally at Hialeah High due to the size of our class and total school enrollment.  I always thought that John was a good guy and I was sorry to recently hear that he passed.  He lived at 6381 E. 6th Avenue, Hialeah.

John was born on 12/22/46 and he passed away on 6/22/2013 in Marietta, Georgia.  Below is John's obituary that I found online.  Rest In Peace, John!

Celebrating, mourning or wrestling with a life passage is an extraordinary act. I learned to slow down and be in touch with my feelings; difficult for a soldier/professor. Dealing with the loss of a boyhood friend like John--those days at Immaculate and O'Quinn Park--makes me realize life's true value. RIP to JA. Pete Ciolfi.
