Loved Yvonne. I have so many wonderful and funny memories of her- we were cheerleaders together at Filer, hung out all the time in high school and she was a Bridesmaid at my wedding too. She was such a special friend, and she fought hard against her very agressive cancer. I will never forget her.
Yvonne was my dance partner at Bright Park in Hialeah(only a few blocks from both of our houses) and we won many dance contests together. Remember those small plastic trophys they used to award us? Yvonne loved to dance and she really knew how to swing. She was always full of energy and a great cheerleader. I still have a video of us dancing together at my sweet 16 birthday party attended by David Stone, Mario Lazzazo, Val Houston,Jim Volz,and others. We had a pillow fight after the party and after Yvonne and the other girls had left. Everyone that knew Yvonne will never forget her sweet personality and love for life. We all miss her.
Gloria Goodlet (Doddridge)
Yvonne married Laurent Pierrepont Laroche in 1977. She died January 20, 2000. She was small in stature but full of enthusiasm and fun.
