Chris was such a good friend.  In high school, he was the runt from Opalocka who did a bit of pole vaulting on our track team.  I got to know in him in college (Go Gators!) where he transformed into a muscle-bound jock (naturally, no steroids involved) and into a totally wonderful human.  As Gainesville roomates in '69 we threw some great parties.

When college ended we both landed in Coconut Grove. I practiced law and Chris got into the pizza biz with two other HHS grads.  All three became fabulously successful selling Pepsi and "pies".  Chris died suddenly, at home, 12 years ago.   He seemed fine when I saw him three months earler at his spacious house in Lompoc, Ca.  He was very proud of his business success and his son and daughter.  Chris left us much too soon. I've missed his dimpled smile ever since .
